Polyamide (Nylon)
Deuter Duratex
A Polyamide-fabric that is extremely abrasion and tear resistant. For all larger backpacks this is used for the bottom panel. It has a thread of 1000 den and a thick PU coating on the inside.
Deuter Duratex Lite
Robust and durable Duratex in a 500 denier weave. Markedly lighter than the 1000 weight version yet still durable, tear-proof and robust. PU coated.
Deuter Ballistic
high density woven polyamide 420 denier fabric with high strength and lightweight makes it especially suitable for Trans Alpine and Aircontact packs. PU coating. Shiny finish.
Deuter MacroLite
We use the Nylon material in hard wearing 420 denier and 210 denier density. Special high density denier polyamide offers high abrasion resistance with it's very tight weave. This top quality fabric is used for Guide backpacks and Travel range models. PU coating.
Deuter Ripstop 210
Ultra-tight weave, hard wearing 210 Denier Nylon. Recognisable by the very technical, shiny surface incorporating tough Ripstop threads. This lightweight and extremely robust fabric is perfectly suited to the manufacture of lightweight products. Top quality PU coating. This highly technical material is used for lightweight Alpine and Trekking models.
Deuter Ripstop 330
This technical 330-denier Nylon material is the perfect balance between durability at minimal weight. Thicker reinforcing threads woven into it give it that Ripstop look and technical shiny surface. Top quality PU coating. Exclusively used for the Aircontact models.
Deuter 420D Ripstop Nylon
The regular chain-and-weft weaving of stronger threads creates a strong, but light 420 denier nylon fabric with good abrasion and rip stopping characteristics. The outside is water-repellent, the inside is PU coated.
Deuter Microrip Nylon
210 den Nylon fabric with strong ripstop threads and PU coating. This fine, lightweight and yet abrasion resistant nylon is optimal for lightweight backpack construction.
Deuter Microrip Lite
This very fine Nylon fabric is extremely lightweight. The PU coating and tight weave enable it to achieve a high waterproof specification. Similar to our other lightweight textiles, the stronger ripstop threads reinforce the lighter main fabric in order to increase its resistance to tearing. Used for our “Bike Bags” and Accessories.
Neoprene
Neoprene is a family of synthetic rubbers that are produced by polymerization of chloroprene. It is usually covered on both sides with fabric (nylon or lycra), protecting the surface making it less prone to damage. Neoprene was one of the first synthetic rubbers to be developed and has been incorporated into numerous products popular in daily life, from wetsuits to protective gear. We use neoprene hip belts on our Ski Backpacks Freerider and Descentor allowing a snug fit. Furthermore, neoprene is well suited for its flexibility, shock-protection applications and provides excellent insulation against cold, used in our Neo belts, camera case and insulation tube.
Hyperlon
Hyperlon is a very tough, extremely durable synthetic rubber noted for its resistance to the effects of ultraviolet light, heat, and ageing. It is a popular high-performance fabric and one of the most common materials used to make inflatable boats. Because Hyperlon is a very robust and abrasion resistant fabric, its characteristics are ideal for areas that must withstand extreme wear and tear – (Examples: Attack helmet holder, front panel of Freerider Pro)
Hexlite 100
Extremely lightweight Ripstop Polyamide fabric with textured structure. The 100 version of the fabric is used for ultra lightweight backpacks such as the Spectro series. The reinforcement fibres woven into the fabric increase the tear strength and add stability to this thin fabric. PU coating inside.
Hexlite 210
This lightweight 210-denier Ripstop Polyamide material is used for ACT Trail packs and weight optimising Bike and Alpine backpacks. Thicker reinforcement threads make it resistant to tears even at such minimal weight and lend it that striking honeycomb structure. PU coating inside.
Taffeta Carbonite
Comparable to the 190 “Deuter-Taffeta-Nylon”. Taffeta Carbonite however, is highly waterproof due to the special carbonite PU coating. This together with it’s Ripstop weave for increased tear resistance, makes it ideal for our waterproof accessories.
Deuter Taffeta Nylon
It is a fine weave of 190 den threads for the Deuter rain covers. It is light with small packing dimensions. The PU coating grants excellent water-resistance.
Deuter Pocket Rip
We use this new version of our robust nylon fabric in 250 den and 330 den. The lightweight fabric is durable and has a 2.000 mm water column thanks to the PU coating.
330D Micro Rip 6.6
Deuter Micro Rip 6.6 is a 330 den Nylon blended fabric offering fantastic tear resistance. The use of Nylon 6.6 makes the amterial very durable and robust. Waterproof (WC 2.000 mm) thanks to the PU coating. The perfect material for big packs like the new Aircontact range.
The lightweight version of our Nylon Pocket Rip. The thin yarn is extremely lightweight. Yet the tight weave makes it extremely abrasion and tear resistant.
Ultra-tight weave, hard wearing 213 Denier Nylon. Recognisable by the very technical, shiny surface incorporating tough Ripstop threads. This lightweight and extremely robust fabric is perfectly suited to the manufacture of lightweight products. Top quality PU coating.
Ultra-tight weave, hard wearing 211 Denier Nylon. Recognisable by the very technical, shiny surface incorporating tough Ripstop threads. This lightweight and extremely robust fabric is perfectly suited to the manufacture of lightweight products. Top quality PU coating.
The most durable of the materials that Deuter use in their rucksacks. Found on the base and high wear areas of many rucksacks to add abrasion and puncture resistance.
